BERKELEY, Calif. – As finals approach, students have inevitably flocked to citation managers and word processors to mock-up their final projects. However, despite a deluge of advice suggesting otherwise, Data Science sophomore Reggie Tavel has blamed a rare allergy for their aversion to LaTeX.
“I don’t know what to say, I just can’t really perform when I’m using LaTeX,” Tavel claimed. “I’m fine with Word and Pages, but I don’t fuck with LaTeX. That UI totally has, um, no feel. I totally prefer to just work with the raw data instead. All you have to do is stick it in R and the results feel sooooo good – the lines of best fit are rock hard.”
At press time, Tavel’s professors were found in a heated debate over why anyone on Earth would submit an assignment formatted in TextEdit.
