BERKELEY, Calif – Through Instagram’s display of accounts who have liked a certain reel, senior Samantha Jones was shocked to discover that her friend nicknamed ‘Freak Bob’ had bohemian and sexually explicit tastes.
“I was doom scrolling on Instagram Reels and randomly came across a Wattpad y/n reel with a really horny caption. I was about to dismiss it as a fluke when I saw ‘liked by freak_bob_is_calling’ on the bottom. Though I thought I knew him well, it was a little jarring to see him like it. I wish he trusted me enough as a friend to come out to me directly rather than liking IG Reels. If people he barely knows see his like, I’m concerned about what they’ll think,” explained Jones, who was amused yet also mildly uncomfortable by the discovery.
When asked about why he chose to express his sexual proclivities through a reel like, Bob asserted that he had no idea it was visible.
“I like TikToks all the time, and those aren’t visible. I saw this reel and I did resonate with it. It’s been a while, if you catch my drift. So I liked it without thinking much of it. But I guess Instagram shows you reels your friends have liked. I’ll be more mindful about it in the future,” said Bob, while continually scrolling with four apps open on his screen for five hours straight.
At press time, Bob reported that he had seen Jones also liking a freaky reel of a guy doing “submissive boyfriend ASMR.”
