NEW YORK – Following the Trump-Harris presidential debate, where most argue Harris delivered a much better performance, Governor Tim Walz and Senator JD Vance debated for the first and only time this year. Like all political debates, there were several inaccuracies, misquotes, and falsehoods that need to be corrected. Here is our list of fact checks:

Claim: JD Vance said “Drill, Baby, Drill.”
Fact Check: This is what he thinks when looking at couches.

Claim: JD Vance brought up how his family was very poor.
Fact Check: He also wants to keep them poor.

Claim: This matters.
Fact Check: No, it does not.

Claim: Tim Walz looked tense.
Fact Check: This is because JD Vance’s general vibe is off-putting.

Claim: Former President Jimmy Carter turned 100 years old today.
Fact Check: Somehow true but he has nothing to do with this.

Claim: Tim Walz took extensive notes on claims made by JD Vance.
Fact Check: He was actually drawing up cool as hell football plays. (insert funny drawing i think that would make the joke better)

Claim: JD Vance said the only way to combat climate change is to invest in natural gas.
Fact Check: Partially true. JD Vance is getting his information from the 1824 Farmers Almanac.

Claim: JD Vance was nervous to be debating live and in person.
Fact Check: He was just overwhelmed by the smell of fertility coming from the moderators

Claim: JD Vance referred to school shootings as “terrible stuff”
Fact Check: Did not know school shootings are as bad as stubbing your toe

Claim: Tim Walz has beautiful emerald green eyes.
Fact Check: Oh my… he really does. *blushes*
